Our translucent shade material is similar to the fiberglass parchment used on original mid-century shades, with a rich glow unlike any other lighting diffusion material. Our material is durable, water-resistant (unlike linen or paper), and cleans with a damp cloth. Our material is made from recycled food-grade water bottles (PET), and the fibers are supple, not brittle, so it doesn’t have the scratchiness and airborne fiber issues associated with fiberglass.
We hand-stain our lampshades to achieve a wide range of vintage, retro, modern, and contemporary colors, and we can match your colors (with a fabric swatch, paint chip, or Pantone number). We take pride in fabricating the coolest, highest-quality, and widest variety of replacement drum and tiered shades anywhere.

We also fabricate custom drum lampshades, such as the Majestic Z-Lamp tambourine shade with the classic zig-zag design, and the Danish Modern floor lamp inverted tall cone shade.
We specialize in the low-profile shallow drum lampshades and tiered shades characteristic of mid-century/modern lighting of the 1940s and 1950s. Within certain parameters, the height of our drum shades can be customized to fit most lamps; for example, we also make the large barrel lampshade style characteristic of many lamps from the 1960s.
